A huge advertisement for the most beautiful side of sport. Yesterday’s passage of the Tour de France through the Cesena area, of course. But not only that. Among the happiest and most carefree fans who were waiting for the cyclists’ arrival, at the top of Barbotto, there was also a special one, Tommaso Berti, a talented midfielder from Cesena, who was there with one goal: to have fun in the company of his friends and all those who approached him to say hello. “You can imagine how much I wanted to be there – he laughs heartily, answering politely even to an impromptu interview among the cyclists -. I arrived yesterday, with my friends from Calisese, we spent the night in a tent… What a show! And now we’re here having a great time, with everyone. Also thinking of Pantani, who I personally haven’t seen race, but who is a great champion. It’s impossible not to pay homage to him”.

Berti actually enjoyed it greatly. It started late at night, when the console set up by the group of ‘Pirate’ faithful proposed a ‘Romagna Mia’ to warm up the spirits. On the asphalt as a dance floor, here is the midfielder who lets himself go to the dance floor. The musical genre, let’s be clear… woe to think of a connection with football.

During the day, however, the young black and white talent stayed with his friends, joking, cheering on the cyclists, singing. Singing what? Many different genres: ‘Romagna Mia’, again, of course. But also some deeply rooted stadium chants. Which are all there, because, even here, on Pantani’s mountains, “Chi non salta bolognese è!”.
