Pordenone – The official announcement is still missing (which should arrive next week), but with the results achieved at the last absolute Italian championships, the last official competition before the Olympics, Pesistica Pordenone has won the title of best sports club in the Federpesistica for the last four years, overcoming the eternal rivals of the Fiamme Oro.
Contributing to the historic result were therefore the medals won at the recently concluded Assoluti. From the Italian platform came four silver medals and a bronze, in addition to other important placings, which dug a gap in the team rankings between the club of president Maria Rosa Flaiban and technical director Dino Marcuz and the other clubs in the running.
There were 8 standard-bearers of Pesistica Pordenone, led by the technicians Luigi Grando and Elisa Crovato, who had qualified for the Italian Championships, plus Martina Bomben, who today belongs to the Gs Esercito and who won gold in her category “pulling” 81 kg in snatch and 100 kg in clean and jerk, showing great maturity and the fruits of continuous evolution.
For the club from Via Rosselli there was the surprising silver of Mauro Gasparotto, born in 1993, who returned to competitions after a six-year break. The Pordenone Weightlifting veteran lifted 127 and 169, showing that he still has the numbers to compete at Italian level. Silver also for Eleni Battistetti, who lifted 66 and 83, stopping just one kg from gold. A call-up to the next European Junior Championships could arrive for her. Paride Dragna was also an excellent second in the men’s 55 kg who lifted 91 and 113. The same final result for Lisa Lotti who won silver in the -71 kg with a powerful leap in which she lifted 107 kg.
Bronze for Tommaso Protani in the 61 kg, who lifted 88 and 122, despite recovering from mononucleosis. To these must be added the fifth places of Federico Baldi and Alessandra Pacetta and above all the fourth place of Elisa Crovato, who was able to split herself in the dual role of athlete and technician, finding the right concentration in both situations. Three placements that were decisive for the victory in the team classification.
