We receive and publish a letter of thanks to the Pneumology department of the Perrino hospital in Brindisi
After days of fever and a cough that prevented me from breathing, despite antibiotic treatments, I decided to go to the emergency room because I felt that the situation was getting worse. It was June 9th when, after x-rays and tests, within a few hours I found myself admitted to the pneumology department of Brindisi hospital. Shortly thereafter, acute respiratory failure began. The diagnosis: pneumonia with bilateral pleural effusion, a delicate condition that made me experience moments of great fear.
My eyes were filled with terror, I felt an emptiness inside me. I entrusted myself to the doctors and all the staff in the department. From that moment, I felt surrounded by a strong sense of humanity. They helped me psychologically to face this bad experience: some with a smile, some with a sweet word. I never felt alone, on the contrary, I received great psychological support.
Today, after 12 days of hospitalization, I am finally at home with my family and I would like to publicly thank the head doctor, Doctor Sabato Eugenio, who manages the department in an excellent manner with great professionalism and competence. Special thanks also go to Dr. Veronica Palma, my angel, who immediately understood the delicacy of the situation and gently supported me, trying not to scare me and transmitting strength and tranquility to me.
Heartfelt thanks to all the nurses, health professionals and physiotherapists who carry out their work with love and dedication. From this experience I will never forget what you did for me and today I have only one certainty: I will always carry you in my heart! Many thanks to the pneumology department of the Perrino hospital in Brindisi, for me an excellence.
