Umberto Reazione escaped from Livorno prison
L’evasion it dates back to the afternoon of Saturday 22 June. Umberto Reazione had managed to escape from the high security department of the Livorno prison climbing and climbing over the surrounding walland then disappear.
Campano, 36, was serving several sentences totaling 15 years in prison Camorra-style associationextortion and robbery.

The search for the escaped prisoner
Once the alarm was raised, the alarms immediately went off research of the prisoner in the vicinity of the Livorno prison, conducted by the Regional Investigation Unit of the Penitentiary Police of Florence and the Flying Squad of the Livorno Police Headquarters, which however gave negative results.
All police offices across the country were therefore alerted and the Florence Investigation Section of the Central Operations Service was involved in the investigations.
Investigators began sifting through hours and hours of camera footage of video surveillance of Livorno. Reaction was like this identified Sunday morning near the Livorno seafront, aboard a bus direct line to the train station.
Stuck at the Tiburtina station in Rome
According to what has been reconstructed, Reazione took a train from the Livorno station regional train to Romewith the aim of arriving at Naples.
The policemen, with the support of Rome police personnel, then triggered the trap at the Rome Tiburtina station, before the train reached the Termini terminus. The escapee was blocked and arrested at 4.45pm on Sunday and taken back to prison.
They are now underway investigations to reconstruct the exact dynamics of the escape and any possible ones complicity of others in flight.
