Salute – The project is expanding this year to the ASL of Latina and Viterbo

Tarquinia – We receive and publish – Health education and information to deal with emergency situations: the “Serene Beaches” project, conceived by the Order of Nursing Professions of Rome and already tested positively by the ASL of the Roman coast, Rm 3, Rm4, Rm 6, is being extended this year to the ASL of Latina and Viterbo, with the contribution of the Lazio region.
Starting tomorrow, Saturday 29 June, over 16 days until September, a multidisciplinary team composed of nurses, other health professions and students of the Nursing degree courses will be present on the beaches of Lazio to promote healthy lifestyles, raise awareness on the prevention of risky behaviour and provide training in first aid interventions. During the event, information material will be distributed and bathers will be invited to participate in the demonstration of cardiopulmonary resuscitation techniques and unblocking of the upper airways, which will be carried out at the station on the beach, also inviting those present to practice on a mannequin.
The objective of the project is to provide, to as many people as possible, indications on the correct behavior to adopt in the event of small inconveniences on the beach; provide information on correct lifestyles and recommend simple actions to take for the immediate management of dangerous health situations, which can be replicated in any life context.
“The spirit of the initiative conceived by the Order – declared Maurizio Zega, President of the Opi of Rome – is to inform, educate and advise citizens to do what is best for their health by reaching them on the beach, in a moment dedicated to relaxation and physical and mental recovery, without “waiting” for the citizen in a ‘health’ environment. In a word, to realize the concepts of proactivity, prevention and health education that are the key to the health of the future“.
On June 29th in the morning the teams of the following will be active: Asl Roma 3 in Ostia Lido, free green beach; Asl Roma 4, Santa Severa, beach adjacent to the Castle; Asl Roma 6 Anzio, Riviera Mallozzi; Asl Latina Latina, Hotel Tirreno beach; Asl Viterbo, Tarquinia Lido, free beach in Piazza delle Naiadi.
