Beach checks in Torre del Greco. Carabinieri checks in the fight against undeclared work
Checks on the beaches. In Torre Del Greco the Carabinieri of the local station together with the soldiers of the Naples labor inspectorate unit were involved in checks on various beach establishments.
The checks in the beaches carried out as part of the services to combat undeclared work and safety in the workplace. Four establishments were checked and also a restaurant inside one of these.
During the operations, a total of 41 workers were identified and all were regularly employed except in one beach where, in addition to the regular staff, five illegal workers were also found.
The four entrepreneurs were reported. The Carabinieri of Torre del Greco, with the invaluable contribution of the Nil of Naples, contested various sanctions – criminal and administrative – for a total of approximately 64 thousand euros.
Among the negligences ascertained were the failure to monitor health and the failure to train on safety in the workplace.
In one establishment the police also ascertained that the workplaces did not meet the minimum safety requirements while in another establishment that the working environment was not up to standard.
The Nil will provide the necessary provisions while the checks by the Carabinieri of the Torre del Greco company will continue in the coming months.
