The Risk Monitoring Functional Center of the Lombardy region issued today, June 24, 2024a new yellow code weather alert for thunderstorms and hydrogeological risk. “A low pressure vortex is insisting on the Mediterranean and influencing the weather over Lombardy, maintaining conditions unstable also for the day of Today 24/06,” we read in the bulletin. “Scattered light rainfall is expected in all areas, sometimes even in the form of brief showers. The phenomena will only be occasional in the Alpine areas and the Varesine Prealps, while they will be more frequent in the plain and Apennines areas. There is a limited probability of thunderstorms, more likely in the eastern sectors. Reinforcements of wind expected from the North-East on the Apennines. Persistence of unstable weather, with precipitation at times including thunderstorms, for the entire day Tomorrow 25/06 in all sectors, but more frequent in the central-eastern areas and the Pavia area; precipitation easing and less frequent in the evening. Mainly weak winds but with temporary reinforcements mainly on the plains and Apennines and more generally in conjunction with convective phenomena“.
