MILAN – Road safety education, drunk driving simulation and a crime scene to investigate with the tools of the trade. The State Police personnel of the Monza and Brianza Highway Police Section and the Police Headquarters met, in Monza, the PizzAut onlus association for an evening of fun and inclusion at the headquarters of the well-known pizzeria where autistic pizza chefs and waiters work. The meeting was born with the intent to “make his boys understand that the policeman is not just a uniform, but is a friend and a point of reference also for all autistic people who sooner or later could use help”, as stated in a note.
More than 350 people attended the event, including visitors, curious people and especially children who were able to play with the police officers and fulfill their dream of riding in police cars. The older ones were able to get closer to the world of scientific police. The State Police personnel serving at the Provincial Cabinet of the Police Headquarters of Monza and Brianza set up a crime scene, showed the tools used during the inspections and explained the techniques for collecting fingerprints and traces of the crime. There were also moments of road education and simulations, thanks to special glasses, of driving under the influence of drugs and alcohol, and bike routes dedicated to the little ones to learn the main rules of road traffic.
