The meteorologist from Tgr Piemonte provided a useful comparison Andrea Vuolo: «Yesterday in Piedmont, in the plains, maximum temperatures of 18-19 degrees were recorded. The vortex of cold air at altitude – responsible for the strong storms on Saturday evening and this almost autumnal Sunday – will in fact continue to convey a flow of humid currents from the East-Northeast along the Po Valley, with intermittent rain and showers (even some local thunderstorms) over a large part of the region between Monday and Tuesday, more probable and persistent especially close to the Alpine mountains of Cuneese and Torinese and more sporadic on the VCO. Temperatures will remain below the averages for the period by up to 5-6°C at all altitudes, with afternoon maximum values between 19 and 23°C on the plains and hills. From Wednesday the depression circulation will gradually tend to fill and move towards the mid-upper Adriatic, however still causing general variability in the afternoon-evening with possible showers and thunderstorms on the medium-low mountain alpine sectors and with a scattered character even in the plains, but with rising temperatures”.
