More rain in Turin and Piedmont, it is the coldest June for 25 years. Snow returns at altitude. Clearing from Thursday

The cyclonic vortex that is affecting the central-northern regions and especially the north-west does not let up. On the Piedmont and Lombardy plains it does not go above 18°C, with cold peaks below 15. These are temperatures typical of a normal start of April, which have brought jackets and raincoats back to Turin and out. According to TGR, temperatures this low in mid-June have not been measured in Piedmont and in the Plains for 25 years. And in the mountains beyond the 2500 meters, locally even lower down, snow falls.

The Monday will see unstable and often cloudy skies above Alps and then to descend throughout the Piedmont during the day. Rain is more likely in the afternoon in Turin and in the plains. It is a general instability that will continue at least until Wednesday morning. The 26th will see the sun, but it will only be a respite, already in the evening the showers and the now typical evening lightning could return.

To wait for a real start of summer we will have to wait Thursday and the weekend (but it’s better to keep up with the weather updates).

Meanwhile, it’s snowing, and quite a lot, in places like there Val Formazzain the Verbano Cusio Ossola, and on Monte Rosa.
