Controls intensified in Gallarate: inter-force blitz at the station and DASPO for the troublemakers
Gallarate, 22 June 2024 – Following some incidents of brawl that occurred near the Gallarate railway station, the Varese Police Commissioner ordered the intensification of local control services, with particular attention to the protection of public order and safety.
An extraordinary joint operation
Yesterday, an extraordinary territorial control service was carried out which saw the participation of various law enforcement agencies:
- Agents of the Gallarate Police Station
- Mobile Department of Milan
- Railway Police
- Carabinieri
- Local police
The operation, coordinated by the PS Commissariat of Gallarate, was concentrated in particular in the area of the railway station, where the regularity of the position of non-EU citizens present in the area was verified.
Identified and reported
During the service, eight people were identified and accompanied to the police station to be subjected to photo identification as they did not have identification documents.
From subsequent investigations, also conducted with the help of specialized personnel from the Immigration Office, two of these people were reported for crimes relating to irregular immigration.
Furthermore, a person was recognized and reported for having participated in the fight that took place on June 3rd.
DASPO and CPR accompaniment
Three people were notified of the same number of DACUR measures (ban on access to urban areas) issued by the Varese police commissioner, again in relation to the events of 3 June.
Finally, an irregular foreigner on national territory was accompanied to the Repatriation Center in Bari.
