The communication from the FIGC is arriving which will officially ask the mayor Silvetti in which championship he wishes to register the new club, there are the consortiums interested in Ancona football – the last one met by the mayor seems to come from neighboring regions -. There is the public notice for expression of interest that the mayor is preparing and which he will publish as soon as the communication from the federation arrives, expressions of interest to be collected within a few days. A new company needs to be set up, in which possibly one or more consortiums of those who express an interest in doing so will come together. And there are at least 400 thousand euros to be paid to the Football Federation on a non-repayable basis, as contemplated by paragraph 10 of article 52 of the Noif, plus the 31 thousand euro guarantee, to allow the admission of Ancona, with a new name and new registration number, to the next Serie D championship.
These are the next stages in which Mayor Daniele Silvetti’s challenge is divided, starting tomorrow. But time is running out. The communication from the federation must have already arrived, but there are the European Football Championships, and the FIGC in Rome also has other things to do. Silvetti is waiting for her to carry out the first official public act which, as the Noif article states, will then allow “the city of the not admitted club to participate with its own club in an LND championship, even in supernumerary ones, as long as the same company: a) fulfills the requirements established by the individual committee for registration in the championship; b) has no members and/or directors who have held the role of partner, director and/or manager with powers in the last 5 years of representation at the federal level, in clubs subject to measures of exclusion from the relevant championship or revocation of affiliation from the FIGC”.
These are the steps and the most dangerous step of the tortuous path undertaken by Silvetti appears, at the moment, to be that of identifying the most correct and reliable interlocutors, thanks to the expressions of interest that will be found on his desk in the coming days. It is not only necessary to find the amount necessary for the non-repayable payment, the guarantee and to face the next championship – around one and a half million euros -, it is necessary to give credibility and future to the project, to allow it to recover at least part of that sector youth team which was the flagship of Us Ancona and which today risks being lost.
And allow him to regain the trust of the city and the fans, put to the test by yet another betrayal. The new company will be able to deliver all the documents necessary for the request for registration in the D series in supernumerary after having paid the amounts already indicated, in the period between Monday 8th and Friday 12th July. But Mayor Silvetti wants to succeed as soon as possible, in that week, also to avoid surprises that would put at risk the “crusade” undertaken in the name of Ancona football and its people.
