Housing for separated fathers, applications open – Pescara

PESCARA. The Municipality has published the second notice for the assignment of accommodation for separated fathers. There are six apartments available, in the building in via Valle Furci 5/I which the Municipality renovated with Pnrr funds after freeing it from illegal occupants and the deadline for applying is set for 8 July (1pm)
The first notice, last March, led to the assignment of five accommodations out of the nine available in the building, but two fathers gave up in recent days, so there are still six accommodations available. Among the required requirements, registered residence in the Municipality of Pescara for at least 5 years (even non-continuous) only in the event that the change of residence occurred for reasons strictly linked to divorce/separation (to be demonstrated by documentation). The further innovation concerns the age of the children who can be either minors (provided they are not placed in residential facilities) or adults, but only if enrolled in high school or university and financially dependent. The other requirements are Italian citizenship, the absence of convictions, the ISEE income between 8 thousand and 23 thousand euros, income from employment or self-employment, the absence of property rights, usufruct, use and residence on the national territory ( with the exception of any property assigned to the spouse as custodian of the child(ren) and the absence of residential properties owned by the parents or children in the hinterland municipalities. It is then necessary to be up to date with the payment of alimony.
The apartments are three on the ground floor and 3 on the first floor (of which 4 studios and 2 two-room apartments) and have a surface area ranging from 32.95 to 59.45 square metres. They can be granted for three years (renewable) and with a minimum monthly fee of 153 euros up to a maximum of 277 euros.
As mentioned, applications must be submitted by July 8th at 1pm. The notice can be consulted online on the Municipality’s website (there is also the application form). Anyone who has already submitted a request following the first call will have to submit it again, but it is possible to avoid attaching the mandatory documentation.
