An opportunity for a trip out of town and, above all, to be enchanted by the most beautiful villages in Italy. The ‘Romantic Night’, in its ninth edition, brings together a circuit of 200 towns across the country, including Lugnano in Teverina, which meets visitors on Saturday 22 June with a whole day of themed events. Also in Arrone, in addition to the celebrations for San Giovanni Battista, we celebrate with the second edition of ‘Sforchettanno’.
Lugnano in Teverina It starts in the morning at 10 with the opening of the book market in Bibliopiazza. And then we move directly to 6pm when there will be ‘The romantic tour of the village in a carriage’ organized by the ‘Totano’ equestrian centre. A paid event starting in Piazza S. Maria, in front of the suggestive Collegiate Church. You will cross the village passing via Umberto I and Piazza della Rocca. Small romantic stop at the Belvedere dei Tramonti and then down to the Fabbrica towards Parco della Pineta. To then go back to the village with the coachman. Also at 6pm at the ex-Fabbrica building, in the Terzo Pimpolari room, there will be a poetic installation for collective writing. The theme for 2024 is ‘Roots’. At the same time, Slowfood Condotta Terre dell’Umbria Sud presents the event: ‘Walk in the Lugnano countryside to discover herbs and flowers good to eat’ with the guide and stories of Mara Quadraccia and Paolo Arice. Followed by aperitifs and romantic dinners spread throughout the village. From pasta to pizza, through street food and more elaborate menus. In short, there is something for all tastes. At 11pm the mayor will read the oath to beauty. While at midnight the ‘Desires fly’ event with a midnight kiss and balloon launch.
Arrone Second appointment with ‘Sforchettanno’, a food and wine tour through the streets of the Arrone Castle. It starts at 7.30 pm for an evening that will have a touch of magic, thanks to the participation of the White Circus and the musical entertainment of the Paradise orchestra
