THE BICI Club Matera “Adriano Pedicini” together with the Alto Bradano Team and Vultour Bike present the Rando Tour Basilicata event. Under the aegis of the FCI and the Italian Sports Center of Matera, the sports group led by the president of the Matera association, Giovanni Gentile together with his colleagues will present the event which will touch on different scenarios of the province of Matera and Potenza, different countries and territories uniting them in one big family, which is that of cycling.
At 10 am, in the Council Chamber of the Palace of the Province of Matera, after the greetings of the President of the Province, Piero Marrese, there will be space for the presentation of a one-of-a-kind event with a great territorial impact. In fact, the ARI representative for Basilicata, Giuseppe Mazzucca, will tell the story of the route that the Rando Tour Basilicata will follow in three summer events: on 30 June the Le Colline Materane event starting from Matera, on 14 July the Randonnée dell’Alto Bradano departing from Venosa and on 8 September the Randonnée Parco del Vulture departing from Melfi.
During the press conference to present the Rando Tour Basilicata, the Councilor for Sport and Deputy Mayor of the city of Matera, Antonio Materdomini, will also speak; the vice president of the FCI, Carmine Acquasanta; the President of the National Cycling Sector of the CSI, Nicola Saccoccio; the Regional President of Csi Basilicata, Domenico Lavanga and the Regional Coordinator of Sport and Health, Matteo Trombetta. The conclusions will be entrusted to the President of ARI Sud, Giuseppe Gallina.
During the press conference there will be the opportunity to reward two Lucanian cycling talents, who have raised the name of the Basilicata region, taking the national spotlight for the skills and qualities demonstrated. There will be awards for Domenico Pozzovivo and Tommaso Elettrico.
