The Lithuanian ambassador to Italy, Dalia Kreivienė, made an official visit to the headquarters of the Municipality of Caserta, where she was welcomed by the deputy mayor, Emiliano Casale. The delegation also included the commercial attaché of the Lithuanian embassy in Italy, Laura Šerenienė, the assistant of the Lithuanian embassy in Italy, Viktorija Safranaviciute, and the honorary consul of the Republic of Lithuania in Naples, Vincenzo Russo. Also present at the meeting was the president of Asso Artigiani Imprese Caserta, Nicola De Lucia, accompanied by the two managers of the association, Mariano De Martino and Salvatore Armano.

Deputy Mayor Casale and Ambassador Kreivienė discussed future cooperation opportunities between Lithuania and Caserta, mainly focusing on cultural exchanges, tourism and trade relations which are largely based on food products.

The deputy mayor illustrated to the ambassador the precious historical, artistic and cultural heritage that characterizes the city of Caserta and its surroundings, with particular attention to the Royal Palace, the Monumental Complex of the Belvedere of San Leucio and the extraordinary history of the utopian city of Ferdinand IV of Bourbon, as well as the medieval village of Casertavecchia.

Casale summoned the Ambassador for a fascinating rendezvous in Caserta, with the aim of diligently exploring the territory and weaving collective dreams to be realized with enthusiasm in the near future.
