Protagonist the Monday Orchestra: directed by Luca Missiti, is made up of musicians who boast numerous years of experience in consolidated ensembles throughout the national territory. The big band was born in 2006 from an idea of ​​Luca Missiti himself and Pietro Squecco.

The Monday Orchestra he participated in numerous festivals including the Torino Jazz Festival 2015, in which he presented the album Monday Orchestra meets Randy Brecker, hosting Brecker himself as a soloist and playing in front of twenty thousand people, and the bFlat Jazz Festival 2012, with soloists Randy Brecker and Bob Mintzer.

For three years she was the resident orchestra of the Area M Festival, within which she collaborated with soloists of national and international fame. For four years, from 2020 to 2023, she was on stage at the prestigious Rassegna Estate Sforzesca, organized by the Municipality of Milan. From 2021 you will be among the protagonists of the Swing’n’Milan Festival, at the Spirit de Milan. Since 2017 she has graced the stage of the Blue Note Milano annually.

Monday Orchestra boasts important collaborations, including those with Randy Brecker, Bob Mintzer, Mike Mainieri, Sarah McKenzie, Fabrizio Bosso, Tullio De Piscopo, Emanuele Cisi, Gianluigi Trovesi, Pietro Tonolo, Maurizio Giammarco, Rosario Giuliani, Daniele Scannapieco, Franco Ambrosetti, Dick Oatts, Paolo Tomelleri, Emilio Soana, Gabriele Comeglio, Dario Faiella, Mauro Negri, Christian Meyer, Paola Folli, and many others…

The big band’s fifth album, entitled Un Poco Loco, was released in May 2024. The Music of Bud Powell, with soloists Fabrizio Bosso and Rosario Giuliani, premiered with a concert at the Blue Note.
