I am Alina Uva, a student of the “Leonardo da Vinci” high school in Bisceglie, linguistic address, and Aurora Pia Amato, from the “Vito Fornari” high school of human sciences in Molfetta, the two girls who were awarded the scholarships to participate in the Summer School of the Luiss “Guido Carli”, made available by the Borgo Antico Association to the participants in the I SoGNALIBRI project, in collaboration with the prestigious university.

The students, selected on the basis of the criterion of the best school average certified by the school of origin, will thus have the opportunity to attend the courses that Luiss University will host in the first week of September in Rome. An opportunity that will allow them to orient themselves and consciously choose their university and working future. As explained by Dr. Nicola Parascandolo, Head of Operations at Luiss, who spoke during yesterday afternoon’s ceremony at Palazzo Tupputi, the Orientation 3 course dedicated to third year high school students was created with the aim of providing them with the useful tools to select the most suitable course of study. in line with one’s own aptitudes, proposing an overview of the economic, legal and social areas also through cases and testimonies.

«The criterion we used to assign the scholarships was that of merit», comments Alessandra Di Pierro, president of the “Borgo Antico” Association. «The awarded students have very high average scores, certified by their schools, well above 9. They are therefore girls who are working hard and who we believe is right to valorise, offering them this unique opportunity for training and orientation at Luiss in Rome, which will however also be a time for socialization and mutual understanding.”

The process of approaching reading and meeting cultural professions will continue in the coming weeks, involving very young readers as early as next June 24th for the eagerly awaited event in Largo Castello, at 8pm, with the American writer Glenn Cooper.

The “I SoGNALIBRI” project is organized with the patronage of the Regional Council of Puglia, of the Business Club for Culture of Confindustria Bari and BAT, City of Bisceglie and Luiss “Guido Carli”, and with the support of the Vincenzo Casillo Foundation, Trani Museum Center (Seca Foundation), Politeama Italia, Mosquito Aps and Pro Loco UNPLI APS Bisceglie.
