Here is the pole position for the Grand Prix of Italy in Olbia
Last day of preliminaries in Olbia for Grand prix of Italy Of aquabike, the pole positions for the official race weekend have been defined. Estonian Jasmiin Yprausthe Belgian Jasmiin Ypraus,and French François Medori they took pole positions. They will lead the Ski Ladies GP1, Ski Division GP1 and Runabout GP1 categories after an exciting afternoon in Olbia.
A huge array of 167 pilots from 30 countries tested the officials and program comprehensively, providing a sensational spectacle of racing across numerous classes.
The conquest of pole positions
The current championship leader, Jasmiin Yprauswas the best in the Ski Ladies GP1 division and easily took pole position ahead of the former champion Emma-Nellie Ortendahl. Ypraus said: “Qualifying was perfect, I have to say. The sea was not as rough as during the morning tests and this made the difference. The girls were fast though and it was a lot of fun.”
A final lap of 1 minute 35.453 seconds gave the championship leader the Belgian Quinten Bossche to take pole position ahead of Morgan Poret in the Ski Division GP1.
The reigning world champion François Medori he set an unbeatable time of 1 minute 30.870 seconds to snatch pole position from the Estonian Mattias Siimann and the championship co-leader Samuel Johansson. Medori said: “Maybe my last pole position was 12 years ago, so I’m really happy. But this is just the beginning. You don’t get points for pole position, so we need to stay focused on Moto 1 and 2 this weekend.”
The pole positions in the categories Ski GP3 and GP4, Runabout GP4 and GP4 Ladies, Ski GP2 and Runabout GP2 were won respectively by the Hungarian Csongor Jászaifrom French Baptiste Calmelsby the Italian duo Davide Pontecorvo And Arianna Urlo and by Estonians Mattias Reinass And Mattias Siimann.
