At the Briamasco Stadium The press conference to present the new Gialloblù coach took place this morning Luca Tabbianiin the presence of the President of AC Trento 1921 Mauro Giaccaof the Sports Director Giorgio Zamuner and the Operations Director Luca Piazzi.
The first statements of the new Mister Aquilotto: “I thank President Mauro Giacca and Sports Director Giorgio Zamuner for entrusting me with this important task. I return to a square that has always remained in my heart. I was in Trento in the 2001-2002 season and it can be said that my career as a footballer started from here. Being able to return as a coach excites me and energizes me doubly: I have always dreamed of joining a Club in the role of both a footballer and a coach. Once I received Trento’s proposal, therefore, I did not hesitate to accept it. I am, in fact, convinced that this is it a solid and ambitious company.
I watched the last matches played by Trento and I think a good job was done. My goal will be to succeed in give the group a recognizable playing style. Personally I really like teams that manage to maintain control of the ball by managing, when not in possession, to keep the center of gravity high and be very aggressive. With possession, however, I believe it is important to be able to be proactive in order to succeed create several opportunities every match and increase the danger. In the team there is a good mix between young and experienced players, the basis is very positive but today is the first day and we will start as if we were a blank sheet of paper.

On the topic of market there has already been a discussion with the Sports Director Giorgio Zamuner. I believe, however, that each of us has our own role and therefore it is him to be in charge of decisions on the topic. I am ready and excited for this new experience. I really want to start again after two particular experiences: Catania is an important place for Serie C. Unfortunately it didn’t go as we hoped but it was a formative experience. What disappointed me most was the fact that I wasn’t able to bring my idea of football. Last January, however, I returned to Fiorenzuola. And I did it because I am very attached to that square. We tried to do a feat and almost didn’t succeed. In the second round we did well but, unfortunately, we weren’t able to do the same in the playouts.
I’m here for help Trento in its path of growth and improvement. L’objective for next season will be to succeed in confirm what has been done this year and of bring more and more fans to the Briamasco stadium. I can’t wait to start this new adventure.”
Mauro Giacca: “Today we kick off a new chapter of the history of our Club: we are in fact happy to be able to present to everyone, as the new Coach of AC Trento 1921, Luca Tabbiani. The choice to make this change of technical leadership, shared with the Vice President Enrico Zobele, the board member Alessandro Penasa, the Operations Director Luca Piazzi and the Sports Director Giorgio Zamuner, symbolizes a new and further step aimed at continuing the growth of the our Club which, in recent years, step by step, has always tried to improve itself. We are sure that the new coach has the qualities and motivation to succeed. Tabbiani, after his first experience in the gialloblù as a footballer, returns here as a coach. This, for us, is an added value as it allows us to trace a direct connection with the past history of our society. I am sure that the same applies to him too because, since our first meeting, he has always shown us his great desire to link himself to Trento, to return to where he began his football career. He is a prepared and determined technician: I am sure that, together with him, we will achieve the set objectives.”
Giorgio Zamuner: “We have chosen to entrust the Trento bench to Luca Tabbiani, a young and very well-prepared professional. I am convinced he has all the qualities necessary to make the team we will build in the coming weeks perform at its best and to carry forward our technical project. Last season we reached the playoffs, a historic achievement for this Club, for next year we want to confirm ourselves and continue to improve. Tabbiani, in recent years, has accustomed us to aggressive and proactive football, made up of great ball possession. THEOur new technician has signed a contract until 30 June 2025 with an option to renew for a further year. We are very happy to have him here: I wish him the best of luck.”
