Shakira Galli, 20 years old, victim of a terrible accident on the A4 motorway: she was returning home with her husband after a day in Verona.
She was returning home with her husband, recently married, after a day spent in Verona to celebrate his twentieth birthday. But cruel fate broke the young life of Shakira Galli, who died in a terrible car accident on the A4 just one day after turning twenty. Shakira was traveling in a Fiat Panda led by her 22 year old husband.
The couple was returning to Mestre from Verona, where they had spent a special day to celebrate Shakira’s birthday. They had been married for a few months, a marriage that crowned a love that began at school. Shakira had attended the institute linguistics for tourism Algarotti of Venice, where she had successfully graduated, and was currently enrolled in the Faculty of Law in Padua. The young couple lived together in Mestre, in an apartment in Corso del Popolo.
Her husband, only two years older than Shakira, he had recently passed the exam to become a gondolier, a profession which today is no longer reserved exclusively for the children of gondoliers. The exact circumstances of the accident are still under investigation. From the first reconstruction it would appear that the Fiat Panda with the two young people on board collided with a heavy vehicle shortly before the detour to the A57. The municipality of Mestre has announced that a minute of silence will be observed in memory of Shakira during the next city council meeting.
