Spending ceilings, agreement reached between the Teramo local health authority and family doctors – Notizie d’Abruzzo

The Teramo Local Health Authority reaches an agreement with family doctors on the spending ceilings set by the 2008 repayment plan. The local health authority will immediately pay half a million euros.

Family doctors complained that the new spending ceilings introduced in 2008 unilaterally modified the contractual conditions established in the regional supplementary agreements, without there having been prior union consultation. For them they were therefore to be declared illegitimate. The Court of Cassation has also intervened on the issue several times, with rulings in favor of the doctors to the direct detriment of the ASL of Pescara and that of Avezzano, Sulmona and L’Aquila. Hence the decision first of the Region and then of the Teramo Local Health Authority to seek an agreement. Now the end of the dispute: the ASL, which had already committed to paying the salary differences until 2019, has decided to do the same thing for the following two years, 2020 and 2021, effectively closing the conflict. For this two-year period alone, he will have to pay 542 thousand euros, of which 490 thousand to be redistributed among 28 family doctors working in the province of Teramo, the remaining part as a contribution to the Enpam social security institution. Doctors will receive the sums in July. Among them there are those who will obtain figures exceeding 25 thousand euros.
