Turin transfer market / Yann Karamoh returns from loan to Montpellier but remains out: he may have a transfer market in France
Now that the coaching issue at Toro has been resolved, it’s time to think about the transfer market. The session opens on July 1st and closes on August 30th. But we are already thinking about future movements, not only incoming but also outgoing. Yann Karamoh returns from loan from Montpellier to Turin. The player remains out. For him the tracks are heating up especially abroad, where he has a bigger market. Vanoli could also evaluate him and decide to keep him, but this hypothesis is not very likely. In France more than ever, he could find a new team to settle into. In January he left because he was not satisfied with the little playing time he was given by Juric.
Karamoh: a descending parable
After playing for Inter and Parma, Karamoh ended up in Turkey and disappeared from the radar. In the summer of 2022, Toro had failed to get Praet back from Leicester and so they signed him. He had signed for one year, with an option for another two years in case of confirmation. With Juric on the bench, he did well and scored 4 goals in 21 appearances. Excellent signs and so the contract was renewed. But then this year, Juric made different choices and ended up at the bottom of the hierarchy. Only 10 appearances for him, without goals or assists. Only 154 minutes in Serie A. The Frenchman with the number 7 on his shoulders expected something else and decided to change the scene.
The season in France in Ligue 1
Having arrived during the current season, he chose number 23 in Ligue 1. Even here, however, he did not find much space. He played 12 games in total, all as a central striker, also scoring 1 goal. 274 minutes in total. Only in one match did he start. The right of redemption was present, but will not be exercised.
