TERMOLI – The Festival of the Will – Dialogues on the future will reveal the program of the third stage of the ninth edition on the evening of Saturday 29 June with a special presentation preview, characterized by three moments: a talk on the theme of sustainability in the era of plastic and on pathological consequences of microplastics that end up in the human body with the interventions of professors Giuseppe Servillo and Maria Agnese Della Fazia, the journalist of Piazza Pulita on La7, Roberta Benvenuto and the regional representative of Plastic Free Giuseppe Fabbiano; the presentation of the panels and all the guests who will animate Piazza Duomo in Termoli from 19 to 21 July for the ninth edition of the Festival which this year will deal with the theme: “the Future of intelligence. Natural / Artificial / Political”; an artistic performance by the Molise artist Marta Anti with music by Mehnet Güren entitled “Macchina Liquida / Liquid Machine”.
The Sara Festival is promoted by Plastic Free, the Molise Chamber of Commerce and Cosib and can count on the patronage of. Municipality of Termoli, ASvIS, Economic and Social Observatory Riparte l’Italia, Motus-E, MOST – National Sustainable Mobility Center and National Association of Motor Cities of ANCI. Antonello Barone: after the successes of Rome and Bologna in Termoli we will reflect on the future of intelligence
“2024 was a special year for the Festival del Sara protagonist in prestigious locations, such as the Sala di Adriano in Rome and Sala Borsa in Bologna, in which we dealt with the main protagonists of the institutional and cultural panorama of the country, such as Paola Severino and Enrico Giovannini, themes which in our opinion are decisive for the future of the company. On the one hand we disseminated and supported the bipartisan DDL no. 658 Senate which proposes to establish the Italian Capital of Sustainable Mobility and indicates Termoli as Capital Zero; on the other hand we thought about what companies can do in concrete terms today to make sustainability the new paradigm of corporate social responsibility. The tour ends in July in the canonical setting of Piazza Duomo in Termoli where we will discuss together with great minds in the public debate how the meaning of the word intelligence is changing. On Saturday 29th we will present the program of the three evenings in July and in collaboration with Plastic Free which promotes the Festival we will also address the topic of the danger of microplastics both from the scientific side and with an artistic performance”.

LIQUID MACHINE / LIQUID MACHINE connects to the idea of liquidity through sensorial imagination and the use of multidisciplinary languages. It relives current human actions linked to the world of water and relaunches Baumann’s theory of “liquid modernity” to define the collective forms of change. A site-specific performance which, like liquids, adapts to the place that hosts it. A living machine that incorporates humans with the desire to find new forms and functions through the use of structured improvisation. An artificial aquarium that becomes an apocalyptic landscape, a place left empty after human intervention. This performance highlights the rapid change in society, which at the same time ignores the problem of waste and its impact.”
