Crotone – You will see the sea through the windows of the new swimming pool on the seafront: in recent days, in fact, the area of ​​the former Coni has been cordoned off for the construction site: stand of Visit Crotone and images of Rino Gaetano they coast theformer Coni in the process of demolition.

The bronze statue of the Crotone singer-songwriter has already been moved to Piazza della Resistenza, while the sailing boat that was once a fountain and then became a small concrete monument no longer exists. Still space for the passage on Lega Navale and Piazza Rino Gaetano, in order to allow vehicles to pass better.

The facility, we were saying, will be transparent thanks to windows that can be opened in summer (six meters high), with a 33 meter infinity pool, and at 1.82 m above the sea, a bar, changing rooms, and a new square.

The new swimming pool benefits from financing of 6.2 million euros, obtained from the Municipality through CIS Calabria (the tender was awarded for the sum of 4.13 million euros). The project was financed through 320 thousand euros from the tender of the Presidency of the Council of Ministers “Italia City Branding” (622 thousand euros in total, of which 320 committed for the swimming pool). The works are carried out by the joint venture V&M Immobiliare and Tecnoedil&Sport, with the project by Studio Settanta7.

The works must be delivered within one year.
