L’Aquila, free screening on World Systemic Sclerosis Day


L’AQUILA – On the occasion of World Systemic Sclerosis Daythe UOSD of Rheumatology of the San Salvatore Hospital in L’Aquila, directed by Professor Paola Cipriani of the University of L’Aquila, and the National Association of People with Rheumatological and Rare Diseases are organizing a day dedicated to screening of the pathology and scientific in-depth analysis .

Systemic Sclerosis is an autoimmune disease belonging to the group of rare diseases which mainly affects women and is still difficult to diagnose today. This pathology, due to the involvement of internal organs, requires management by a rheumatology center supported by a multidisciplinary specialist team, at the forefront of diagnostics and treatment with new drugs.

On June 27, 2024 from 9:00 to 12:00 it will be possible to carry out the free screening capillaroscopic examination at the UOSD of Rheumatology, San Salvatore Hospital, Delta 7 building on the second floor by booking at APMARR number 3760012604 from 10:00 to 12:00 from Monday to Friday.

In the afternoon from 3.00pm to 7.00pm in the Paride Stefanini Building, Room D2.28Piazzale Salvatore Tommasi 1 in the University Center of Coppito, the scientific in-depth meeting entitled “The multidisciplinary approach in scleroderma” will be held, focusing on the theme of multidisciplinarity in the management of the person affected by the pathology.

Patient associations and doctors from the multidisciplinary team of the San Salvatore Hospital in L’Aquila will participate and ample space will be given to patient testimonies.
