ROSE GARDEN. The surrounding wall to the south of the new Conad supermarket being set up in Roseto nord will have to be demolished within 90 days. This is stated in a management order according to which the structure does not comply with the indications contained in the building permit. «There is a different planimetric conformation», we read in the provision, «and a different height of the base wall and the top railing. According to the building permit, the maximum height of the wall is one meter and 20 centimetres, and the railing is 80 centimetres. At present, however, the height between the wall and the railing is three meters and 80 centimetres. It is necessary to restore the state of places according to permission. If the restoration is not carried out within 90 days, the property will be acquired by right, free of charge, to the assets of the Municipality”.
Last May 30th, an inspection was carried out for an urban planning and building assessment by the Carabinieri of Alba Adriatica and on June 19th the inspection report was drawn up, which revealed «the execution of works in breach of the building permit and, therefore, in the absence of a qualifying qualification”. The company, therefore, will now have to review the plan of the parking area in front of the new supermarket, even if the work on the latter is still progressing well. According to the project, of the total 5 thousand square metres, 40 percent, i.e. two thousand square metres, will be used for commercial premises, while the remainder will be used for car parks. The Municipality is entitled to a total of 520 thousand euros, of which 410 thousand for monetization (reclamation of the area) and 110 thousand for Bucalossi, the law that establishes all the regulations and obligations regarding the buildability of land. The car park that will be built will therefore serve the supermarket and will be closed at night, as happens for the Oasi supermarket in Roseto Sud. Currently, residents of the Borsacchio neighborhood have the closest supermarket about two kilometers away, and the elderly in particular, or those with reduced mobility, struggle to reach it. Finally, according to the timetable, the new Conad supermarket should be ready by next Christmas.
