The State cuts three million. Hello the works in Vigevano. Voghera, emergencies on stand-by

The work at the Vigevano hospital will be done. And this despite the State having ordered the cut of over 3 million from the Fund for non-deferrable works that the Asst had requested to conclude the projects to strengthen the emergency-urgency area of the territory. Those funds, which had already been pre-assigned last summer, were not confirmed in April, a circumstance which could have blocked, due to lack of the necessary financing, the 10 works already designed, approved and contracted. So the Asst has chosen to suspend, at least for the moment, two of the planned works and to redistribute the funds saved on the others. A decision that confirmed the interventions at the Vigevano hospital where an expansion and raising of the emergency room is planned to create a first floor in which 10 new intensive care beds will be placed.

The project also involves the creation of two semi-intensive therapy beds in the former Hemodynamics department. The interventions planned in Stradella were also confirmed, while in Voghera only interventions for semi-intensive therapy were allowed. From the package of interventions, however, the 10 new intensive care modules planned in Voghera were “frozen”, an intervention worth over 4 million and 200 thousand euros of which 2 and a half were already available and just under 300 thousand euros needed to adapt the emergency room rescue of the city of Iriense. A choice which is however in accordance with the development of the project hypothesis for the functional reorganization of the entire healthcare complex which, in the plans, would also include the construction of a new pavilion in which to concentrate interventional activities.
