NewTuscia- GUIDONIA MONTECELIO – With a managerial determination, published today on the online notice board, on the institutional website, it was committed the sum of €55,000.00 for the assignment of mosquito control services and other disinfestation services to the company AD Service 2009 srl, based in Rome.
An intervention that is more necessary than ever, considering that during the year 2023, 95 cases of Dengue were confirmed in the Lazio region, of which 54 were imported and 41 indigenous, with vectorial activity favored by climatic conditions and that the most effective intervention for the prevention of these diseases and other arboviruses, of which the tiger mosquito is a vector, is the maximum possible reduction of the mosquito population.
The “National Plan for Prevention, Surveillance and Response to Arbovirosis (PNA) 2020-2025” provides that “interventions to combat mosquitoes must be based on an integrated approach (Integrated Mosquito Management)”. It was therefore necessary to guarantee public safety through the awarding of a contract for services aimed at managing interventions to combat mosquitoes or other insect vectors of diseases. The assignment procedure was managed on the MEPA platform, through which the phases of the procedure relating to the publication, presentation, analysis and evaluation of the economic operator were managed.
The Company will ensure a larvicidal disinfestation intervention, the timetable for which will be communicated subsequently, consisting of 4 cycles, each for a total of 5,000 drains and manholes and adulticidal disinfestations.
