CORIGLIANO-ROSSANO – Work on the construction site of the new Sibaritide hospital is restarting at a rapid pace and now D’Agostino Costruzioni SPA is looking for new workers in the area. The Avellino company, concessionaire of the work being built in the Insiti district, in the geographical heart of Corigliano-Rossano, has opened 23 new job positions at the construction site. The initiative, carried out with the support of the local Employment Centre, can represent a significant opportunity for professionals and operators in the construction sector.

The professional figures currently requested by D’Agostino Costruzioni SPA are: 10 Building Carpenters; 2 Electricians; 2 excavator operators; 2 crane operators for tower cranes; 2 Crane Operators/Lifting Equipment Drivers; 5 Plumbers. All the details relating to the application requirements can be found in the information announcement published on the portal of the Labor Department of the Calabria Region (click here).

«This initiative – explains the D’Agostino project manager, Domenico Petrone – not only underlines the commitment of our company in successfully completing the new hospital project, but also highlights the growing employment opportunities and professional development that this provides can give to the territory.” In fact, this is only a first step. «In the coming weeks – adds Petrone – new job positions will be opened for new professional figures». One thing is certain – but we have known this for some time – the Campania company is looking for a qualified workforce in an area where the professionalisation of the workforce is still a pipe dream. And this will also be the problem that will also be faced by the companies that will be called upon to build the other mega-project in the area in the coming months: the new State Road 106 whose construction sites, as announced again and just yesterday by the President of Calabria Region, Roberto Occhiuto, will leave by the end of 2024 or at the latest by the first months of 2025.

Latest news from the construction site of the New Hospital

The new Sibaritide hospital is progressing at a rapid pace. Thanks to the recent additions of personnel and the definition of the technical-health variant, structural advances have undergone a significant acceleration. The main structure of over 80 thousand square meters has been completed and last week the infilling of the building also began with the innovative paneling technique patented by the Bolognese company Jendy Joss. The innovative new solutions and cutting-edge technologies used in the project promise to deliver a cutting-edge building in terms of both safety and energy efficiency.

Furthermore, attention is being paid to sustainability, implementing eco-friendly construction methodologies and recyclable materials to reduce environmental impact. The construction site, as we wrote in recent days, is also an example of excellence in terms of safety at work thanks to the adoption of rigorous protocols.

The opening of new job positions represents an invaluable opportunity not only for professionals in the sector, but also for the economy of the region. The investment in the new hospital promises to significantly improve the local healthcare infrastructure, offering modern and functional facilities to the citizens and centers of north-eastern Calabria.
