A triumphal year for the Tigers Rugby Bariclosed with one historic promotion to Serie Band celebrated today, at Palazzo di Città with a ceremony attended, among others, by the Sports Councilor Peter Petruzzellithe president of the Tigers Gennaro Totarothe manager Carmine Volpettil’head coach Starry Dariusthe mini rugby manager Antonella Intiniplayers and staff members.
The team, composed of 30 athletes – between students and workers from Bari and from the metropolitan area – and reinforced by an English athlete and 3 Argentine players, dominated the championshipgoing through the regional phase unbeaten, beating the highly rated teams of Benevento and Partenope Napoli in the inter-regional phase and triumphing in the final against Palermo.
