CROTONE “All the President’s Men”. It consolidates thepolitical axis which binds us more and more institutional leaders of Crotone and its province to the president of the Calabria Region, Roberto Occhiuto. In fact, we learn on the official page Facebook of the Municipality of Crotone which «to Regional citadel» took place this morning «a positive encounter with the President of the Region Roberto Occhiuto”.
The president of the Province attended the meeting with the governor Sergio Ferrarithe vice president Fabio ManicaMayor Vincenzo Voce and the government official of Papanice Antonio Megna. The post is accompanied by a photo that immortalizes its participants, in grand parade and smiling, at the end of the meeting. «Wide sharing – the post continues – on the main issues affecting our territory».
Nothing is known about what issues and agreements reached during the institutional discussion. After all, the institutional communication of the two bodies has long been scarce and laconic on the major issues that concern the territory. Especially on the management of relations with Enifor example, and then also review the decisions that are affecting the reclamation, healthcare, waste, the water system etc… And the great absentee of this “agenda” is as always the Work.
The institutional communication of the Province and Municipality of Crotone, in fact, has for some time now been based on fake “news leak” (the “tissue” delivered to some trusted journalist complete with precise indications on the interpretation to be made publicly), rather than on the transparency and accessibility to citizens.
All this “in defiance” of those intentions of the National legislator which, in the new definition of institutional communication, he wanted to understand it as strategic tool of the future for the improvement of the relationship between administration and citizen. This process which, needless to say, is today facilitated by access to the internet and social media for all strata of the population, but which instead has taken on (at a global level) the characteristics of semantic manipulation and, therefore, of theinterpretative ambiguity.
Today it is evidently enough for citizens to let it be known that the territory, or rather its main institutional representatives, are at the side of President Occhiuto. An axis that has increasingly taken on an institutional role connotation of political loyalty to the man who, up to this moment, has given Crotone a New Year’s Eve Rai, an even more impoverished healthcare system and a waste plan which, at the moment, gives the green light to the landfill of over one million tons of poisons in the area.
We hope that the issues addressed during the summit at the regional Citadel today go well beyond the “bread and circuses” offered so far by Occhiuto because little, or perhaps from worse to worse, has changed the lives of those who live in these latitudes. And the people keep asking “sesterces”!
