The Giro dell’Italia a Vela – Nastro Rosa Tour with its Village is coming to Sanremo

From the 19 to 22 June the Giro dell’Italia a Vela Nastro Rosa Tourorganized by the Navy, lands at the Porto Vecchio of San Remo and in the surrounding waters.

As stated in the official press release of the Yacht Club of the coastal municipality:

“In our city a great event bearer of institutional, environmental and sporting values.

The Giro involves ten international teams with over fifty athletes participating in multi-discipline sailing regattas, over nine stages, of which the Flowers Stage will be the second: not only challenges at sea, but a large Giro Village, set up in front of our headquarters , with the collaboration of the Municipality of Sanremo and our yacht club, open to all, with four days of events dedicated to spreading sailing and the beauty of our country, together with partners and institutions involved.

Furthermore, in the offshore discipline on Beneteau Figaro3, a boat will race in the colors of our yacht club all the stages of the event – ​​starting on 17 June from Genoa and arriving on 21 July in Venice.

The team, coordinated by our partner Maximilian Kuester, is made up of nine athletes who will alternate in doubles in the 1400 miles of the various stages of the event”.

The Giro dell’Italia a Vela 2024

28 days, 9 stages, 10 international teams, over 50 participating athletes, 3 different foil disciplines: offshore sailing on Beneteau Figaro 3, inshore foiling between the inshore buoys with the Waszp dinghies, and the acrobatic boards, the sailing boards of the brand new WingFoiling class.

The Marina Militare Nastro Rosa Tour 2024 is organized by Difesa Servizi SpA in collaboration with Sailing Series International Sports & Events, and with the support of ENIT – National Tourism Agency and of Italian Sailing Federation, and it’s sponsored by CONI.
