CIVITAVECCHIA – “I read with great interest the letter from the consumer association Sportello consumers Codici of Civitavecchia in view of the ballot.
First of all, I would like to thank the director Massimiliano Astarita and all the members of the board of directors and I am happy to respond point by point to the appeal addressed to the mayoral candidates.
Regarding the appointment of a consumer delegate just this morning, during a press conference, I announced that our government team will be very broad and with many municipal and project delegations. There will therefore be no problems in establishing a liaison figure between consumer associations and the managers responsible for public services.
The same goes for the creation of the CSP service charters and for the establishment of the municipal council of consumer users. Several times, during the electoral campaign, we underlined the importance of permanent tables between the Municipality and associations to work together on common objectives. In the case of consumer associations, it will be our concern to create a continuous discussion table to adopt common policies on the topic, monitor any critical issues and develop projects for Civitavecchia together.
Our administration will also undertake to provide free municipal spaces to consumer associations for training and information activities, as well as work on the memorandum of understanding between social services and consumer associations: in this sense, the creation of a special support office for citizens in need with the aim of helping them, free of charge, during debt relief procedures.
Finally, as a Municipality, we will work to introduce a new municipal regulation on the conciliation of pending tax disputes, already established in many Italian municipalities and very important for citizens who are experiencing a situation of objective difficulty”
