The names of the last 2024 municipalities that have been awarded the Yellow Flag rating by becoming part of the FIAB Cycling Municipalities network were announced today.
These are Ancona, Corinaldo, Civitanova, Fano, Fermo (new entry), Grottammare, Porto San Giorgio and Porto Recanati. These eight municipalities are thus added to close the 2024 list, in Altidona, Ascoli Piceno (also a new entry in 2024), Civitanova Marche, Cupra Marittima, Pesaro, Porto Sant’Elpidio, Mondolfo, San Benedetto del Tronto, Sassoferrato and Urbania, for a total of 18 FIAB yellow flags flying in the Marche region this year.
Great satisfaction from everyone for the growing number of municipalities that are increasingly joining the network of cycle municipalities. This was the third assignment which, as usual, takes place in the first half of the year by the national FIAB in the order of arrival of the applications and in relation to the difficulty of evaluating the report presented.
On the afternoon of Friday 5 July 2024, in Porto Sant’Elpidio (FM), in the renovated beautiful Villa Baruchello, we will all meet together with the regional administrators and national FIAB leaders, for the official ceremony in which the physical delivery will take place flags to all 18 Mayors of the Marche network.
