Armed processions to escort the paternal grandparents during meetings with their granddaughter and threats and beatings to the mother even for small delays: the carabinieri of the Torre del Greco Company (Naples) also documented this during investigations into what happened in the suburbs of Naples between a girl born into a respectable family and a scion of the De Martino clan (underworld family from the eastern area of Naples and, in particular, from the Ponticelli district) after the birth of a girl who is now three years old.
Coordinated by the DDA, the military carried out nine arrests today, also notifying the child’s paternal grandparents and her father, who is already in prison.
The crimes contested are, for various reasons, acts of persecution, personal injury and possession and carrying of weapons in public places, crimes aggravated by the mafia method.
The investigations of the Carabinieri of Cercola made it possible to discover that the De Martino family had resorted to pressure and impositions which had become increasingly intimidating and prevaricating to guarantee custody of the little girl, in the total absence of any judicial regulation.

Those arrested were held in the prisons of Naples-Secondigliano and Santa Maria Capua Vetere (Caserta).
