The Carabinieri of Cremona have arrested a man who must serve a final sentence for domestic abuse.
31 year old arrested
On the evening of Tuesday 18 June 2024, the Carabinieri of the Cremona station have arrested, in execution of a detention order issued by the Criminal Enforcement Office of the Cremona Prosecutor’s Office, a 31 year old manconvicted.
The man who is the recipient of the measure will have to serve a sentence of one year and eight months in prisonwhich intervened at the Court of Cremona in 2022, which became definitive and executory, for having committed, from 2016 to 2019, abuse in the family.
Sister mistreated
In fact, in 2019 one woman had reported his brother for the continuous mistreatment. That day the intervention of a patrol had been necessary in their house because the woman, her father and her mother had been attacked by the man who had returned home completely drunk and out of himself.
He had railed against his family, threatening and insulting them, damaging fixtures and furniture in the house. Then the woman presented the complaint, reporting what had happened in the last three years, with continuous harassmentculminating in several physical aggression towards mother, father and sisterand repeated requests for money to purchase drugs and alcohol.
He often gave vent to his anger, throwing and breaking objects in the house and repeatedly attacking those who lived with him, also causing injuries.
Detention order
In 2022, the 31-year-old was convicted by the Court of Cremona which found him responsible for mistreatment, confirmed in 2023 by the Court of Appeal of Brescia. The Public Prosecutor’s Office at the Court of Cremona has now issued thedetention order for the sentence to be served and, for this reason, the provision was sent for execution to the Carabinieri of the Cremona station who tracked him down and accompanied him to the Cà del Ferro prison.
