I Italian Overall Championships of athletics will be staged in La Spezia on the weekend of 29-30 June: this will be the last useful window to stamp the minimum for the Olympics of Paris 2024 and to climb some positions in the ranking useful to deserve participation in the Games. Many Italians will put on a great show, starting with Leonardo Fabbri (shot put), Lorenzo Simonelli (110 hurdles), Sara Fantini (hammer throw), Nadia Battocletti (5000 metres): they are all fresh European Champions in Rome.
Also lighting up the scene will be Zaynab Dosso (100 meters), Alessandro Sibilio (400 hurdles), Matteo Melluzzo and Roberto Rigali (100 meters), Fausto Desalu (200 meters), Valentina Trapletti (10 km walk), Pietro Arese (1500 and 5000 meters), Daisy Osakue (discus throw), Ayomide Folorunso (400 hurdles), Elisa Valensin (200 meters) and many others. Unfortunately, luxury absences such as Marcell Jacobs, Filippo Tortu, Chituru Ali, Mattia Furlani, Larissa Iapichino.
