It all started with an emergency call to 112, reporting that the man, visibly agitated, was trashing the apartment and threatening both his brother and mother with a knife. When officers arrived at the scene, they found the applicant and his mother hiding in a car not far from the house.

The suspect was spotted near the front door armed with hedge shears and a large kitchen knife. Without hesitation, he lunged at the officers, attempting to hit them repeatedly. During the clash, one of the officers suffered trauma to his wrist, making it necessary to use the taser to neutralize the man and disarm him.

Subsequently, the man was transported to hospital for tests, which highlighted the presence of narcotic substances in his system and a high level of alcohol in his blood. Once discharged, he was arrested and taken to the local prison, awaiting trial by the Public Prosecutor’s Office at the Court of Crotone.
