“Grosseto Municipality approves useful tool”

“Another important step, with the approval of the “Ethical Charter for women’s sport”, was adopted by the Grosseto municipal council. The latter is a regulatory instrument aimed at combating gender discrimination and is certainly useful in promoting sporting activities and initiatives”.

This is what Fabrizio Rossi, the Grosseto member of Fratelli d’Italia and sports councilor of the municipality of Grosseto, declares.

“The fight against discrimination and equal opportunities go hand in hand in any area of the civil life of a State, and therefore also in the sporting field they have the meaning and value of civility, freedom and democracy. The adoption of this “Charter” by the municipality of Grosseto demonstrates the Polis’ willingness to work together: citizens, associations and sports clubs, for sport without discrimination. As a member of the Italian Parliament and also as a local administrator, I am really happy to have contributed, together with the Soroptimist association to which I am grateful, and with all the citizens, in giving life to a document represented by this ethical charter for women’s sport. Very important document, which goes in the direction of an increasingly inclusive sport. Any type of physical and sporting activity, whether team or individual, has always represented one of the major educational tools of civility and social inclusion. Therefore, today more than ever, it is necessary to break down all those prejudices against anyone and especially against women”, concludes Fabrizio Rossi.
