The next 2024/2025 Serie D championship will start on Sunday 8 September. To complete the first round by Christmas, one midweek round will be needed for the groups of 18 (possibly three for the groups of 20 teams, if there are any). The Italian Cup will instead start on Sunday 25 August with the usual preliminary round and will then continue with the first round the following Sunday 1 September. In the next season the mandatory under “quotas” will be three in total: a class of 2004, a 2005 and a 2006. The National Junior Championship will finally start on Saturday 14 September.

Meanwhile, with the conclusion of the Eccellenza national playoff play-offs, it is finally possible to draw up the rosters of the various championships. In Serie D next year there will be 16 Tuscan teams, two fewer than in the 2023/2024 year given the promotion of Pianese to Serie C, the relegations from D to the Eccellenza of Pistoiese (which however as a “name” remains in the category having acquired the sporting title of the “disappeared” Aglianese), Cenaia, Mobilieri Ponsacco and Real Forte Querceta and the promotions to D from the Eccellenza of Tuttocuoio, Siena and Terranuova Traiana (the latter through the playoffs). These are therefore the 16 Tuscans currently scheduled for the starting line in the next D: Aquila Montevarchi, Figline, Follonica Gavorrano, GhiviBorgo, Grosseto, Livorno, Pistoiese (ex Aglianese), Poggibonsi, Prato, San Donato Tavarnelle, Sangiovannese, Seravezza Pozzi, Siena, Tau Altopascio, Terranuova Traiana, Tuttocuoio. A 4th Tuscan club could be promoted by Eccellenza: Zenith Prato, in the event that it is found again in July in the ranking that will be drawn up among the 21 Eccellenza runners-up who lost the play-offs.

In Eccellenza Toscana (where there will only be one 2005 as an overage: ditto in Promozione) the return to 32 teams is a done deal, with the classic two groups of 16, without the hated mid-week rounds. And there is already a first hypothesis “on paper” regarding what could be the composition of the groups of the 2024/25 championship (even if the CRT could surprise with some unexpected “shifts”). Group A could be like this: Camaiore, Castelnuovo Garfagnana (formerly River Pieve), Cenaia, Certaldo, Cuoiopelli, Fratres Perignano, Fucecchio, Massese, Mobilieri Ponsacco, Montespertoli, Ponte Buggianese, Pro Livorno Sorgenti, Real FQ, Sporting Cecina, Viareggio, Zenith Prato. This instead is the possible B: Affrico, Asta, Baldaccio Bruni, Castiglionese, Colligiana, Foiano, Fortis Juventus, Grassina, Lanciotto Campi, Lastrigiana, Rondinella Marzocco, Scandicci, Sestese, Sinalunghese, Signa, Valentino Mazzola. If Zenith were to be brought back to D, Antella would move up to Eccellenza (defeated in the final in the promotion quadrangular) and go to group B… with the possible move to Lanciotto or Sestese’s A?
