The reaction of the opposition
United oppositions sang the Mameli anthem and waved the tricolor during the final vote while the flags of the Serenissima emerged from the League benches. “A measure that divides and creates inequalities which is approved at night in shame. With this vote you establish that there are first-class and second-class citizens”, said the secretary of the Democratic Party, Elly Schleinin the final vote declaration.

“Azione has created a serious, constructive opposition, without however finding any space for dialogue on the part of the majority, which has entrenched itself on a closed proposal which we believe is harmful to the country. But given this, the answer is not to go to the streets and use those of the opposition against the slogans of the majority. We have done serious parliamentary work and highlighted all the contradictions of this majority, which exist and have emerged.
