On the evening of 18 June, the Carabinieri of the Cremona station arrested, in execution of a detention order issued by the Criminal Enforcement Office of the Cremona Prosecutor’s Office, a 31-year-old man with a criminal record.
The man receiving the measure will have to serve a prison sentence of one year and eight months, which occurred at the Court of Cremona in 2022, which has become definitive and executable, for having committed mistreatment in the family from 2016 to 2019.
In fact, in 2019 a woman reported her brother for continuous mistreatment. That day the intervention of a patrol had been necessary in their house because the woman, her father and her mother had been attacked by the man who had returned home completely drunk and out of his mind. He had railed against his family, threatening and insulting them, damaging the fixtures and furniture of the house. Then the woman filed the complaint, reporting what had happened in the last three years, with continuous harassment, culminating in several physical attacks against her mother, father and sister, and repeated requests for money to purchase drugs and alcohol.
He often gave vent to his anger, throwing and breaking objects in the house and repeatedly attacking those who lived with him, even causing injuries. In 2022, the 31-year-old was convicted by the Court of Cremona which found him responsible for mistreatment, confirmed in 2023 by the Court of Appeal of Brescia. The Public Prosecutor’s Office at the Court of Cremona has now issued the detention order for the sentence to be served and, for this reason, the order has been sent for execution to the Carabinieri of the Cremona station who tracked him down and accompanied him to the Cà del Ferro prison.
