“I will not respond to Galli by highlighting the many shadows that crowd his coalition, because the city, by now, has understood who attacks exclusively the opponent and who, every day, is among the streets of Manfredonia to propose his vision and his proposal of the city”.
Domenico La Marca, candidate for mayor of “Together for Manfredonia”, says this in a note.
“In the last few hours, in the electoral campaign arena, he has brought up a delicate and painful matter of which he knows nothing. Returning to the interview with Dr. Michele Ciani, nephew of Franca Marasco, tragically killed in Foggia last August 28, Galli exploited, in a petty attempt to hit me, the words of the victim’s nephew.
The culprit of the crime was hosted, showing a valid document, in a PIS facility managed by the cooperative of which I belong. He presented himself for emergency social intervention and we, out of obligation, welcomed him for a limited period of time. The Dr. Ciani forgot to say that thanks to our structure the police were able to identify the alleged offender and, thanks to my collaboration with the investigators, it was possible to arrest him. The Foggia Public Prosecutor’s Office did not consider the cooperative of which I belong to any criminal liability to exist with respect to the conduct of this individual. Politically exploiting such a complex and painful matter, only to discredit my person and my work, I believe is unspeakable behaviour.”
“Following these inappropriate and vulgar attacks which have transformed my person into a political enemy to be delegitimised, with a mediocre mud machine, I must send the invitation back to the sender for a discussion in the last days of the electoral campaign”.
“During the first round I underwent four confrontations with the candidates for the office of Mayor, two television and two public. Our ideas and solutions for Manfredonia were illustrated and described on those beautiful occasions of dialogue and participation. In these four days before the electoral silence I don’t want to spend time on talk shows with those who only know how to attack and denigrate others. The real discussion, the one on the themes, proposals and desires, I have been doing every day, for two months, from morning to evening, from the suburbs to the centre, with the citizens of Manfredonia, the only ones who will have the last word on who will have to govern our city. It is their opinion that counts, nothing else.”
“I wish Galli a cleaner and more respectful ending to the election campaign than what he has had the opportunity to propose up to this point. He still has time, these days, to talk about the future of Manfredonia and not about his opponent. So stop with mythology and fairy tales: Manfredonia and its citizens need seriousness and respect”.
