From tomorrow, Wednesday 19 June, the new SwipeOnLake system will arrive on ASF Autolinee buses on the C10 and C30 lake lines, which allows you to pay for your ticket directly on board in contactless mode, with a debit, credit or prepaid card. as well as with enabled digital wallets (on smartphones or smartwatches). SwipeOnLake was introduced on April 24th on the urban network and from tomorrow it will be active on the lake’s routes. On the C30 Como-Bellagio it will be applied at a flat rate of 4.30 euros, for the C10 Como-Menaggio the rate is 4.80 euros.
SwipOnLake revolutionizes the way of paying for travel tickets on board public transport, offering a safe, fast and convenient solution. Furthermore, it is a sustainable choice that eliminates paper entirely, with a view to increasingly “green” public transport.
With SwipeOnLake just touch the contactless card to the green validator (VPE). The system will show two purchase choices: one for a Como-Bellagio (C30) trip, the other for a Como-Menaggio (C10) trip. Simply select the desired trip with a touch on the LCD screen. If the “tap” is successful, the validator will emit an acoustic signal and a green visual signal. The device does not issue any paper receipt. SwipeOnLake is compatible with all debit, credit, prepaid cards, smartphones and wearables enabled for contactless payments (American Express cannot be used). “It is a faster and more relaxing travel experience: users will no longer have to worry about where to buy a ticket, because they can do so comfortably on board without a surcharge,” commented Massimo Saverio Bertazzoli, CEO of ASF Autolinee.
