VENICE – The Peggy Guggenheim Collection is pleased to announce a new collaboration with the Lavazza Group, which takes on the role of Inclusivity Supporter, supporting all accessibility activities of the Venetian museum. This collaboration strengthens theshared commitment to inclusionpromoting an art that is open and accessible to all.

Commitment to accessibility

The Peggy Guggenheim Collection has as its primary objective the conservation of its artistic heritage and its enjoyment by a heterogeneous public: children, adults, young people from Generation Z, the blind, visually impaired, people with a migratory background and the elderly. The museum confirms itself as one inclusive space of freedom, dialogue, meeting and reflectionwhere the cknowledge of the past fuels the construction of the present and the future.

Educational and inclusion projects

There are many educational projects that the Collection addresses to its public:

  • Double meaning. Tactile itineraries at the Peggy Guggenheim Collection: since 2015, the museum has made part of its artistic heritage accessible to the blind and visually impaired, creating a path of accessibility through touch.
  • I’m going to the museum: born in 2020 in collaboration with Ca’ Foscari University of Venice, it promotes the social inclusion of people with a migratory background, enhancing the use of the mother tongue during visits.
  • Summer at the Palace: project aimed at the over 75 public, created to combat the summer isolation of the elderly.
  • Cultural foster care: initiative aimed at combating child educational poverty by involving various local entities.
  • Kids Day: free workshops every Sunday to introduce children aged 4 to 10 to art in an accessible and engaging way.
  • At the Guggenheim school: since 2002, the program has welcomed students from schools of all levels in the Veneto region free of charge.

The role of Lavazza

From 2017 to 2022, the Lavazza Group supported the Peggy Guggenheim Collection as Institutional Patron, supporting numerous exhibitions dedicated to Italian and international artists.
