CATANIA – “More than positive results in terms of visibility, contacts and relations for the Consorzio Arancia Rossa di Sicilia PGI, the only Sicilian consortium present in Bari during the G7 at the Fiera del Levante, in the stand of Origin Italia, the association that brings together over 80 consortia of Geographical Indications and Consortia for the Protection of Italian Dop Igp agri-food products”. This was stated by the president of the PGI Sicilian Red Orange Consortium Gerardo Diana.

“All-round sustainability, therefore also environmental sustainabilitythe economic one is very important – said the vice-president of the Sicilian PGI Red Orange Consortium Elena Albertini for her part – it provides income to all the related activities that exist around a protection consortium”

“As well as the excellent fresh fruit – continues Elena Albertini – the Consortium was present with its processed products: juices, jams, bitters. We had great appreciation for the processed products and we are happy and proud of them.”

During the event Gerardo Diana was interviewed by numerous Italian and international newspapers and the White House press office: “These interviews – said Diana – focused on climate change and PGI products and on sustainability from the economic to the environmental and social ones. The protection consortium is now making an appointment for the G7 Agriculture in Syracuse which will be held from 26 to 28 September”.
