Road accident in via Libertà, right in the center of Palermo. A car and a taxi were involved in a collision which occurred near Via Siracusa, in which a woman was slightly injured.
The impact in fact proved to be violent and the alarm was immediately raised. The 118 health workers arrived on site and rescued the taxi passenger, while municipal police Accident Officers also arrived at the site of the accident to carry out investigations and reconstruct the dynamics. The accident caused major traffic delays.
A few weeks ago another dramatic collision in via Libertà: in that case a van crashed into an Amat bus, near via Filippo Cordova. The heavy vehicle ended up against the Amat car for not respecting a stop sign, inevitably causing panic and fear among the passengers who were on board.
This morning, 17 June, an accident was also recorded in the city with even more serious consequences: in via Villagrazia, shortly before the medical emergency, an ecological worker was hit by a car. The driver did not help and fled, but turned himself in a few hours later. The man suffered very serious injuries: he was transported to the Civic Center with a red code and is in a reserved prognosis. He risks losing a leg.
