The second appointment of the “Beyond the Garden” exhibition will take place on Sunday 30 June, at 6.30 pm, in the Secret Garden of the historic Royal Palace of Portici.
This project, conceived by Mario Gelardi and created in collaboration with the BLab association, is organized by Idee offstage and the Nuovo Teatro Sanità association, in synergy with the MUSA (Museums of the Royal Palace of Portici) and the Department of Agriculture. The event is also supported by ConTRA Group, sponsor of the event.
The Show: Monica. Odellaliberty
“Monica. Odellalibertà”, written and directed by Francesca Fedeli (Hystrio Award for Vocation 2023), is a tribute to the iconic actress Monica Vitti. The performance sees the participation of Francesca Fedeli herself together with Martina Carpino, and celebrates Vitti’s career, talent and extraordinary personality. A Tribute to Monica Vitti
Monica Vitti is one of the most emblematic female figures of Italian cinema, characterized by a histrionic, engaging, strong and rebellious personality. The show intends to recall some salient moments of her life and career, trying to give the public the image of a multifaceted artist and of a woman outside her usual norms. Just as a perfume or a memory evokes old sensations, so does “Monica. Odellalibertà” tries to revive the essence of Vitti.

Francesca Fedeli, author, director and performer of the show, declared: “With her being so irrepressible, with her crossing every boundary, Monica gives me the opportunity to talk about everything, to connect everything and at the same time represent what I immediately recognized as the fundamental request of the whole his life and career: freedom from stereotypes, freedom from prejudice, and, finally, freedom from oneself.”
