Civic uses, ”clockwork” promises for Piero Alessi

CIVITAVECCHIA – The secretary of the Democratic Party Piero Alessi defines those relating to the recent news on civic uses as “empty promises and misleading declarations”. It was announced that the right-wing regional government had found “Columbus’ egg” to resolve the issue of civic uses which unfortunately weighs on many of our fellow citizens – he underlined – however, this adventuristic statement was promptly denied by the president of the association of the agricultural universities, Marcello Marian who clarified that the region’s resolution is not only not conclusive but also illegitimate, and what’s more it will be challenged by the agricultural university itself. Our regret is double: on the one hand, in fact, always being on the side of our fellow citizens, we regret the non-solution of the Rocca council, which could lead to an annulment of the resolution with further disgrace for the citizens, on the other hand it is angering to note yet another attempt by the right to exploit a delicate issue to gain electoral consensus, without providing concrete and definitive solutions to the problems that afflict our citizens. It is clear that the right is using the issue of civic uses as a propaganda tool, rather than seriously committing to resolving it.”

Alessi underlines how we cannot «ignore the fact that after a city government that in the last five years has proven to be impalpable, if not harmful, we are now attempting the path of bluffing on the backs of the people of Civitavecchia. The management of the right – he added – has left Civitavecchia in a stalemate, without tangible progress and with unresolved problems that continue to weigh on the daily lives of our citizens. It is our duty to denounce the lies and false promises that are used instrumentally for electoral purposes, deceiving and disappointing citizens. Our city deserves better. It deserves an administration that does not use citizens’ problems as propaganda tools, but is truly committed to solving them. Our commitment – concluded the secretary of the Democratic Party – will be to carry forward a policy based on concrete facts and real solutions, for the good of all Civitavecchia residents”.
